What is hpEntLastChangeTime?

This reports the sysUpTime value at the moment any row was added or removed in the physical, logical, LP-mapping, alias-mapping, or containment tables, or any of several key physical or logical object instances changed. Admins poll this single timestamp to quickly detect whether the device's physical or logical inventory has changed at all, without having to walk every entity table on every poll. A jump in hpEntLastChangeTime since the last poll tells an admin it's worth re-walking the entity tables to pick up hardware or logical-entity changes.

Examples

Walk all instances (SNMPv2c):

snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.11.2.14.9.1.4.1
snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> HP-ENTITY-MIB::hpEntLastChangeTime

Get a specific instance (index 1):

snmpget -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.11.2.14.9.1.4.1.1
snmpget -v2c -c public <target> HP-ENTITY-MIB::hpEntLastChangeTime.1
