hmIOModConfigDigInputSnmpTrap

Module: HMIOMODULE-SNMP-MIB

OID (symbolic): HMIOMODULE-SNMP-MIB::hmIOModConfigDigInputSnmpTrap

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.248.14.1.13.1.2.1.4

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: HmEnabledStatus

Access: read-write

Description: Trigger an SNMP trap log when input status changes. If the value is disable (2), no SNMP trap will be sent. If the value is enable (1), a SNMP trap will be sent when the input state changes. The SNMP trap will be sent to all receivers configured in hmAgentSnmpTrapReceiverConfigTable. The input state will be checked acording to the refresh interval entered in hmIOModConfigDigInputRefreshInterval.

What is hmIOModConfigDigInputSnmpTrap?

This object controls whether the device sends an SNMP trap to all configured trap receivers whenever this specific digital input's state changes, checked according to the configured input refresh interval. Admins enable(1) this on inputs that need real-time alerting, such as a door or alarm contact, so a management station is immediately notified of a state change. For example, enabling hmIOModConfigDigInputSnmpTrap on a critical input ensures an SNMP trap fires the moment that input transitions from low to high.
