Description: This variable defines and provides information on the Operation Administration and Maintenance (OAM) mode of an EPON device as defined by the [802.3ah] clause 57. When noOam(1) the device does not supports the OAM mode. When oamServer(2) the device supports the OAM mode as a server unit. When oamClient(3) the device supports the OAM mode as a client unit. Writing can be done during initialization, hh3cEponDeviceObjectDeviceReadyMode is in notReady(1) or inProcess(2). This attribute is relevant for an OLT and an ONU.

What is hh3cEponDeviceObjectOamMode?

Selects the 802.3ah Operations, Administration and Maintenance (OAM) role of this device: noOam(1) disables OAM, oamServer(2) runs it as the OLT-side server, and oamClient(3) runs it as the ONU-side client; it can only be changed while the device's readiness mode is notReady or inProcess.
