Description: Manages 802.11 spectrum analysis functions on H3C APs for RF interference detection and reporting.

Start monitoring vendor-neutral, standards-based MIB, any SNMPv3-capable network device (SNMP engine identity/boot/clock status) with a free 30-day trial of IPNetwork Monitor. Import MIBs, browse SNMP OIDs, create custom SNMP monitors, configure alerts, and monitor any SNMP-enabled network device from a single console.

What Is HH3C-DOT11-SA-MIB?

HH3C-DOT11-SA-MIB is an H3C enterprise MIB providing 802.11 spectrum analysis (SA) capability on H3C access points, letting APs scan the RF environment to detect interference and classify non-Wi-Fi and rogue-device sources affecting channel quality. It exposes per-radio SA configuration (enable, radio type), reporting/trap settings for detected device types and air-quality (AQ) thresholds, driven-RRM (radio resource management) tuning, and raw FFT spectrum data tables. This is a hardware/RF-health monitoring MIB: it lets an admin see when interference sources are detected, receive traps when air quality crosses a threshold, and pull raw spectrum data to diagnose packet loss or channel congestion caused by external RF interference. It ties into the broader dot11 RRM ecosystem (driven-RRM channel/power adjustment) on the same controller/AP platform. Typical deployment is on H3C enterprise APs in environments prone to RF interference, such as dense offices or industrial sites. Engineers can download the HH3C-DOT11-SA-MIB file directly to load it into their MIB browser.

IPNetwork Monitor allows you to monitor SNMP objects defined in HH3C-DOT11-SA-MIB. Use the built-in SNMP Monitoring Browser to explore available variables, view their current values and descriptions, and select the objects you want to monitor. You can then create SNMP monitors, configure thresholds, and receive alerts when monitored values change.

Supported Devices

  • H3C 802.11 access point with spectrum analysis capability

Monitoring Examples

An admin would enable hh3cDot11SaEnable on a radio (identified via hh3cDot11SaCfgTable/hh3cDot11SaCfgRadioType) and set hh3cDot11SaTrapAQThreshold so that hh3cDot11SaTrapAQEnable fires a trap when air quality degrades. Pulling hh3cDot11SaRtFFTDataTable gives raw spectrum snapshots to identify whether a non-Wi-Fi device (reported via hh3cDot11SaTrapDevType) such as a microwave or rogue transmitter is the source of client throughput drops.

What Can Be Monitored

  • spectrum analysis enable per radio
  • detected interference device type
  • air quality threshold/alarm
  • driven-RRM status
  • raw FFT spectrum data
