Module: HDSL2-SHDSL-LINE-MIB

OID (symbolic): HDSL2-SHDSL-LINE-MIB::hdsl2ShdslconfigInitFailure

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.2.1.10.48.0.13

What is hdsl2ShdslconfigInitFailure?

This OID triggers an alert when the HDSL/SHDSL line endpoint fails to initialize its configuration properly. It notifies the monitoring system that the endpoint cannot start up correctly. An operator receives this alarm when a DSL line endpoint has a persistent problem starting up, signaling the need to investigate hardware failure or configuration errors.

Examples

Send this trap to an SNMP manager — replace <manager> with the IP or hostname of your monitoring server (SNMPv2c):

snmptrap -v2c -c public <manager> '' HDSL2-SHDSL-LINE-MIB::hdsl2ShdslconfigInitFailure
snmptrap -v2c -c public <manager> '' 1.3.6.1.2.1.10.48.0.13

Listen for incoming traps on the manager host (-f keeps it in the foreground, -Lo prints to stdout — useful for testing):

snmptrapd -f -Lo -c /dev/null authCommunity log public
