What Is H3C-FC-TC-MIB?

H3C-FC-TC-MIB is an H3C (Huawei-3Com) vendor-specific textual-conventions module defining shared Fibre Channel data types and enumerated values reused across H3C's Fibre Channel management MIB suite. It exposes no operational data of its own; it standardizes representations used by other H3C FC MIBs such as port state enumerations or FC-specific identifier types. Because it carries no runtime objects, it is not directly used to check hardware or software status, but it underlies the H3C Fibre Channel MIBs that do report FC switch port status, fabric login state, and related SAN health data. Its dependency is on the base SNMPv2-SMI/TC framework and it is imported by H3C's other Fibre Channel MIB modules. It is deployed wherever H3C Fibre Channel SAN switches or HBAs are managed via SNMP, and the H3C-FC-TC-MIB MIB file is typically compiled alongside the other H3C Fibre Channel modules that import its shared textual conventions.

IPNetwork Monitor allows you to monitor SNMP objects defined in H3C-FC-TC-MIB. Use the built-in SNMP Monitoring Browser to explore available variables, view their current values and descriptions, and select the objects you want to monitor. You can then create SNMP monitors, configure thresholds, and receive alerts when monitored values change.

Supported Devices

  • H3C CN3660B — current 32Gbps Fibre Channel SAN switch, 8-24 port configurations

Monitoring Examples

This module defines only Fibre Channel-related textual conventions with no data objects or tables of its own, so there is no monitoring scenario to describe directly; it exists to be imported by H3C's other Fibre Channel MIB modules that expose actual SAN switch/port status.
