Description: H3C MIB for the Adaptive Cooperative Flow Processing (ACFP) framework managing traffic redirect policies.

Start monitoring vendor-neutral, standards-based MIB, any SNMPv3-capable network device (SNMP engine identity/boot/clock status) with a free 30-day trial of IPNetwork Monitor. Import MIBs, browse SNMP OIDs, create custom SNMP monitors, configure alerts, and monitor any SNMP-enabled network device from a single console.

What Is H3C-ACFP-MIB?

H3C-ACFP-MIB is a vendor-specific MIB from H3C (networking equipment descended from Huawei-3Com/now HPE) that manages the Adaptive Cooperative Flow Processing (ACFP) framework used to coordinate traffic-redirect policies between switches/routers and external security or optimization appliances. It exposes configuration data for the ACFP server (context type, rule persistence, session lifetime) and a client table registering cooperating devices along with each client's descriptive and identity information. Because the client table carries hardware version, OS version, and application version fields, this MIB is useful for tracking the firmware/software inventory and reachability (via client IP) of devices participating in the ACFP framework, giving visibility into the health and version status of the cooperating fleet. It has no explicit stated dependency on other IETF MIBs but relies on standard SNMP table conventions and is specific to H3C's ACFP architecture. It is typically deployed in H3C campus/data-center networks where switches redirect selected traffic to service appliances (e.g. firewalls, load balancers) that register themselves as ACFP clients. Network engineers evaluating or troubleshooting this functionality can download the H3C-ACFP-MIB file directly to load it into their MIB browser.

IPNetwork Monitor allows you to monitor SNMP objects defined in H3C-ACFP-MIB. Use the built-in SNMP Monitoring Browser to explore available variables, view their current values and descriptions, and select the objects you want to monitor. You can then create SNMP monitors, configure thresholds, and receive alerts when monitored values change.

Supported Devices

  • H3C switches and routers
  • H3C ACFP-cooperating security/service appliances

Monitoring Examples

An administrator can poll h3cAcfpClientInfoTable / h3cAcfpClientInfoEntry, keyed by h3cAcfpClientID, to enumerate every registered ACFP client, cross-referencing h3cAcfpClientHwVersion, h3cAcfpClientOSVersion, and h3cAcfpClientAppVersion to detect a client running outdated firmware. Watching h3cAcfpServerMaxLifetime alongside h3cAcfpServerCurContextType helps confirm the server's redirect-session policy is behaving as configured. If a client's h3cAcfpClientIP becomes unreachable or drops out of the table, that signals the redirect-policy target has gone offline.

What Can Be Monitored

  • registered ACFP clients
  • client hardware/OS/application version
  • client IP reachability
  • server context type and rule persistence
  • server session lifetime
