What is currentAnonymousUsers?
currentAnonymousUsers reports the number of anonymous (unauthenticated) users connected to the Gopher server right now. An admin watches this in real time to gauge current anonymous load, which is useful since Gopher servers commonly allow anonymous access by default. For example, an admin investigating slow response times might check whether currentAnonymousUsers has spiked to an unusually high value.
