Module: GSMP-MIB

OID (symbolic): GSMP-MIB::gsmpControllerNotificationMap

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.2.1.98.1.1.1.9

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: Bits

Description: This bitmap defines whether a corresponding SNMP notification should be sent if a GSMP event is received by the Switch Controller. If the bit is set to 1 a notification should be sent. The handling and filtering of the SNMP notifications are then further specified in the

SNMP notification originator application.

What is gsmpControllerNotificationMap?

This read-create bitmask (defaulting to sessionDown, sessionUp, sendFailureIndication, and receivedFailureIndication set) selects which GSMP events on this controller trigger an SNMP notification, out of sessionDown/Up, failure indications, port up/down, invalid label, new/dead port, and adjacency update events. An admin enables the portUpEvent and portDownEvent bits here if they also want SNMP traps for link flaps seen by this controller.
