gsmpControllerDoResync

Module: GSMP-MIB

OID (symbolic): GSMP-MIB::gsmpControllerDoResync

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.2.1.98.1.1.1.8

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: TruthValue

Access: read-create

Description: This object specifies whether the controller should resynchronise or reset in case of loss of synchronisation. If this object is set to true then the Controller should resync with PFLAG=2 (recovered adjacency).

What is gsmpControllerDoResync?

This read-create boolean (default true) controls whether the controller attempts to resynchronize (using PFLAG=2, recovered adjacency) rather than fully reset when GSMP synchronization with the switch is lost. An admin would set this false only if they prefer a clean session reset over an in-place resync after a brief adjacency loss.
