What is gmplsOutSegmentDirection?

This object indicates the direction of data flow on an outgoing GMPLS label switch path segment, and it cannot be changed once the corresponding mplsOutSegmentRowStatus entry is active. An administrator must set this before activating the segment, as part of defining how traffic exits along this portion of a GMPLS LSP. With the default of forward, an out-segment assumes standard-direction traffic flow unless configured otherwise prior to activation.
