What is gmplsLabelSubtype?
This value further classifies a Generalized Label, determining which of the subsequent label fields, such as port/wavelength, freeform, SONET/SDH, or waveband, actually hold the label's real data. An engineer sets this so the device knows how to parse the rest of the gmplsLabelEntry row for a given GMPLS label. For instance, a gmplsLabelSubtype of sdhLabel(5) tells the system to read gmplsSdhVc, gmplsSdhVcBranch, and related SDH fields rather than the freeform or waveband fields.
