What is geModemStatus?
Modem status word, read-only, built from bit flags: 1 online connection valid, 2 last operation failed (cleared when a new modem command arrives), 16 dialling pending, 32 modem busy, 128 no modem connected or not responding, 256 DCD on, 512 RING on, 1024 CTS on, 2048 DSR on; the other bits are unused and should be 0. For example 129 would mean online plus a no-modem flag, an inconsistent reading to investigate. NOSUCHNAME means the status is not yet available.
