Description: This is used to reset the SCM card in the shelf. The SCM will respond to the command and then perform the reset. During the time the SCM resets, the SCM will not respond. The SCM reset is a hard reset, therefore a coldStart TRAP will be received.
normal - This is the value that will be returned whenever this variable is read.
reset - This value can be set to perform the reset.
What is scmReset?
Setting this object to reset(2) triggers a hard reset of the SCM card, which generates a coldStart trap and briefly makes the card unresponsive; reading it always returns normal(1) regardless of pending state.
