gBondTdimFecRedundancySize

Module: GBOND-TDIM-MIB

OID (symbolic): GBOND-TDIM-MIB::gBondTdimFecRedundancySize

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.2.1.211.3.1.1.1.1.3

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: Unsigned32

Access: read-write

Description: A FEC redundancy word size in octets for the G.Bond TDIM ports supporting FEC function.

This object is read-write for the GBS-C ports and read-only for the GBS-R.

A value of zero SHALL be returned if the FEC is disabled (via gBondTdimFecAdminState) or not supported.

Changing of the FEC redundancy word size MUST be performed when the FEC enabled link is Down. Attempts to change this object MUST be rejected (In case of SNMP with the error inconsistentValue), if the link is Up or Initializing or the FEC function is disabled/not supported.

This object MUST be maintained in a persistent manner.

This object maps to G.998.3 attribute aFECRedundancySize

What is gBondTdimFecRedundancySize?

This object sets the FEC redundancy word size, in octets, used by the Forward Error Correction function on a G.Bond/TDIM port, returning zero when FEC is disabled or unsupported. An admin adjusts this, writable only on GBS-C ports, to control how much redundant data is added for error correction, and can only do so while the link is down. For example, setting this to 8 octets adds a moderate level of redundancy to protect against line errors on the bonded pairs.

snmpget -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.2.1.211.3.1.1.1.1.3.1
snmpget -v2c -c public <target> GBOND-TDIM-MIB::gBondTdimFecRedundancySize.1

Set instance 1 (SNMPv2c):

snmpset -v2c -c private <target> 1.3.6.1.2.1.211.3.1.1.1.1.3.1 i <value>

SNMPv3 example:

snmpget -v3 -l authPriv -u snmpv3-user -a SHA -A "AuthPassword1" -x AES -X "PrivPassword1" <target> gBondTdimFecRedundancySize.1
