Description: The value that all bridges use for ForwardDelay when this bridge is acting as the root. Note that 802.1d/D9 specifies that the range for this parameter is related to the value of dot1dStpBridgeMaxAge. The granularity of this timer is specified by 802.1d/D9 to be 1 second. An agent may return a badValue error if a set is attempted to a value which is not a whole number of seconds.

What is bridgeDot1dStpBridgeForwardDelay?

The Forward Delay value, in the 4 to 30 second range (stored as hundredths of a second, 400-3000), that all bridges would use if this bridge became the spanning-tree root; deprecated in favor of newer STP objects. Admins adjust this to balance faster convergence against the risk of temporary forwarding loops network-wide, should this bridge become root.
