extremeCfmMepIfIndex

Module: EXTREME-CFM-MIB

OID (symbolic): EXTREME-CFM-MIB::extremeCfmMepIfIndex

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.1916.1.47.1.1.2.1.4

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: InterfaceIndexOrZero

Access: read-only

Description: This object is the interface index of the interface either a bridge port, or an aggregated IEEE 802.1 link within a bridge port, to which the MEP and hence the group is attached.

Upon a restart of the system, the system SHALL, if necessary, change the value of this variable so that it indexes the entry in the interface table with the same value of ifAlias that it indexed before the system restart. If no such entry exists, then the system SHALL set this variable to 0.

What is extremeCfmMepIfIndex?

This read-only value is the ifIndex of the bridge port, or aggregated 802.1 link within a bridge port, to which the group's MEP is attached; after a restart the system re-maps this to the interface with the matching ifAlias, or sets it to 0 if no match is found. Admins use it to identify exactly which physical or logical interface a CFM group's MEP is monitoring. For example, this object might read ifIndex 24, corresponding to the uplink port carrying the monitored CFM session.

Examples

snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.1916.1.47.1.1.2.1.4
snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> EXTREME-CFM-MIB::extremeCfmMepIfIndex

Get a specific instance (index 1):

snmpget -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.1916.1.47.1.1.2.1.4.1
snmpget -v2c -c public <target> EXTREME-CFM-MIB::extremeCfmMepIfIndex.1

SNMPv3 example:

snmpget -v3 -l authPriv -u snmpv3-user -a SHA -A "AuthPassword1" -x AES -X "PrivPassword1" <target> extremeCfmMepIfIndex.1
