expressGSPowerControlMode

Module: EXPRESSGS-MIB

OID (symbolic): EXPRESSGS-MIB::expressGSPowerControlMode

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.343.6.13.3.3.3.1.1.3

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: INTEGER

Access: read-write

Description: Normally, a module power mode is enable(1).

In the event of a power supply failure resulting in a power shortage, or in the event of this module being inserted without enough available power, the mode will be poweredDown(3). Setting this object to the value of poweredDown(3) will result in an error.

When enough power is available, the module will power back up when in this mode. A module may be powered down through administrative action by setting the value of this object to disable(2). In this mode, the module will remain powered down until the mode is set back to enable.

What is expressGSPowerControlMode?

Controls whether this module is allowed to draw power: enable(1) is normal operation, disable(2) is an administrative power-down, and poweredDown(3) is a read-only state the agent reports when it had to shed the module due to insufficient supply capacity. An admin sets disable(2) to take a card offline for service, but cannot write poweredDown(3) directly since that value only reflects an automatic shutdown.
