What is es1000AcctBportFramesDiscarded?
This counter tracks the total number of Fibre Channel frames this B_Port has discarded, across all classes of service. It's the aggregate discard count an admin checks first for overall frame loss on a link, before breaking it down by Class 2 versus Class 3 discards. Sustained growth here, especially if it tracks the Class 3 discard counter, is a strong indicator of congestion or a fault on this inter-switch link.
