Node type: OBJECT-TYPE
Type: Counter
Access: read-only
Description: This object counts the number of Class 3 frames discarded by this B_Port.
What is es1000AcctBportC3Discards?
This counter tracks how many Class 3 frames this B_Port has discarded rather than delivering. Since Class 3 is unacknowledged, any discard here represents genuine, unrecovered data loss on the fabric, making sustained growth in this counter a high-priority signal of congestion or a link fault. An admin treats a rising Class 3 discard count on an inter-switch link as a strong candidate for the root cause of application-level SCSI timeouts reported by attached hosts.
