eriRouterMeasurementInterval

Module: ERICSSON-ROUTER-SYS-SECURITY-MIB

OID (symbolic): ERICSSON-ROUTER-SYS-SECURITY-MIB::eriRouterMeasurementInterval

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.193.218.5.54.1.1.2

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: Gauge32

Access: read-write

Description: Data is sampled at the start and end of a specified interval. The difference between the start and end values |end - start| is called the delta value. When setting the interval, care should be taken that the interval should be short enough that the sampled variable is very unlikely to increase or decrease by more than range of the variable.

What is eriRouterMeasurementInterval?

This Gauge32 value, in seconds, sets the sampling window used to compute delta values for the malicious-packet counters, with data sampled at the start and end of each interval. An admin tunes this interval short enough that the malicious-packet counter is unlikely to wrap or swing by more than its full range within one window, since too long an interval could hide a fast-rising attack. For example, leaving it at its 60-second default samples the counter once a minute to compute the delta used for threshold comparisons.

Examples

Walk all instances (SNMPv2c):

snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.193.218.5.54.1.1.2
snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> ERICSSON-ROUTER-SYS-SECURITY-MIB::eriRouterMeasurementInterval

Get a specific instance (index 1):

snmpget -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.193.218.5.54.1.1.2.1
snmpget -v2c -c public <target> ERICSSON-ROUTER-SYS-SECURITY-MIB::eriRouterMeasurementInterval.1

Set instance 1 (SNMPv2c):

snmpset -v2c -c private <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.193.218.5.54.1.1.2.1 i <value>

SNMPv3 example:

snmpget -v3 -l authPriv -u snmpv3-user -a SHA -A "AuthPassword1" -x AES -X "PrivPassword1" <target> eriRouterMeasurementInterval.1
