eriRouterIcrPriority

Module: ERICSSON-ROUTER-ICR-MIB

OID (symbolic): ERICSSON-ROUTER-ICR-MIB::eriRouterIcrPriority

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.193.218.2.101.1.1.1.8

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: INTEGER

Access: read-create

Description: This object indicates the ICR priority. The priority is used for setting the initial preference level when the prefixes are advertised and is used for tie-break in case both the local ICR node and its peer node are booted up at the same time. The local and the peer ICR nodes MUST configure different priorities

What is eriRouterIcrPriority?

eriRouterIcrPriority sets whether this ICR node prefers to become the active or standby member of the resilient pair, choosing between low and high, and is used as the tie-breaker when both chassis boot simultaneously. The two paired nodes must be configured with different priorities so the negotiation has a deterministic outcome instead of a race condition. For example, an admin would set the primary chassis to high and its standby partner to low so the primary always wins the active role after a simultaneous power-up.
