What is apsSwitchCmdStatus?

This read-write enumerated value is the command/response field used to issue APS switch actions such as manualSwitchReq(8), forceSwitchReq(14), or clearRequest(31) on the working device, returning a success code like force-successful(114) or an error such as err-invalid-aps-card-type(402) if issued against the wrong (protection) card. An admin uses this to manually force or clear a protection switch during maintenance, always issuing it against the working device as the MIB requires. For example, setting apsSwitchCmdStatus to forceSwitchReq(14) manually forces traffic from a working card onto its protection partner ahead of a planned hardware swap.
