This object stores the index of the snapshot policy that created a particular snapshot on an iSCSI volume, or zero if the snapshot was created manually or the policy was later deleted. An operator would use this field to trace which automation policy created a snapshot and to understand the lifecycle of snapshots created by different snapshot scheduling policies. This helps with capacity planning and retention policy management.
