Module: EQLMEMBER-MIB

OID (symbolic): EQLMEMBER-MIB::eqlMemberHealthPowerSupplyFailure

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.12740.2.2.1.6

Node type: NOTIFICATION-TYPE

Description: Sent when a failure has been detected on any of the power supplys in the PSA. The implementation of this trap should not send more than one notification of this type for a sensor in any 10 minute time span

What is eqlMemberHealthPowerSupplyFailure?

This is an alert notification that fires when a power supply unit (PSU) in an equipment array fails or experiences an issue. The system intelligently suppresses repeated alerts, sending at most one notification per power supply per 10 minutes to avoid flooding. Operators monitor this trap to quickly respond to hardware failures that could cause service disruption.

Examples

Send this trap to an SNMP manager — replace <manager> with the IP or hostname of your monitoring server (SNMPv2c):

snmptrap -v2c -c public <manager> '' EQLMEMBER-MIB::eqlMemberHealthPowerSupplyFailure
snmptrap -v2c -c public <manager> '' 1.3.6.1.4.1.12740.2.2.1.6

Listen for incoming traps on the manager host (-f keeps it in the foreground, -Lo prints to stdout — useful for testing):

snmptrapd -f -Lo -c /dev/null authCommunity log public

Example snmptrapd log entry:
