eqlifOperStatus

Module: EQLIPADDR-MIB

OID (symbolic): EQLIPADDR-MIB::eqlifOperStatus

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.12740.9.4.1.3

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: INTEGER

Access: read-only

Description: The current operational state of the interface. The testing(3) state indicates that no operational packets can be passed. If eqlifAdminStatus is down(2) then eqlifOperStatus should be down(2). If eqlifAdminStatus is changed to up(1) then eqlifOperStatus should change to up(1) if the interface is ready to transmit and receive network traffic; it should change to dormant(5) if the interface is waiting for external actions (such as a serial line waiting for an incomming connection); it should remain in the down(2) state if and only if there is a fault that prevents if from going to the up(1) state.

What is eqlifOperStatus?

This is the current, actual operational state of the interface as observed by the array: up, down, testing, unknown, or dormant. Admins compare it against the interface's administrative status to detect faults; if the admin status is up but the operational status stays down, something like a bad cable is preventing the link from coming up. An interface reporting dormant is administratively up but waiting on an external event, such as a serial line awaiting an incoming connection.

snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> EQLIPADDR-MIB::eqlifOperStatus

Get a specific instance (index 1):

snmpget -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.12740.9.4.1.3.1
snmpget -v2c -c public <target> EQLIPADDR-MIB::eqlifOperStatus.1
