etsysSshOperKeyType

Module: ENTERASYS-SSH-SERVER-MIB

OID (symbolic): ENTERASYS-SSH-SERVER-MIB::etsysSshOperKeyType

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.5624.1.2.26.1.5.4

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: INTEGER

Access: read-only

Description: Indicates the type of the key pair currently in effect on the managed entity. The value of the etsysSshAdminKeyType object is copied to the etsysSshOperKeyType object upon successful completion of the (re)creation of a key pair. A value of none indicates that due to the failure of the initial key pair generation there is no active key pair.

What is etsysSshOperKeyType?

This deprecated, read-only INTEGER reports the key algorithm and length currently in effect for the SSH server's host key pair, mirroring the value of etsysSshAdminKeyType once a (re)creation operation completes successfully, with none(99) indicating no active key pair exists because initial generation failed. Admins check this after a key regeneration to confirm the change actually took effect operationally, not just as a pending admin setting. For example, seeing this report none(99) after a generate(4) attempt would tell an admin the host key generation failed and SSH may be unusable until it's retried.
