Module: ENTERASYS-SSH-SERVER-MIB

OID (symbolic): ENTERASYS-SSH-SERVER-MIB::etsysSshEnabled

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.5624.1.2.26.1.1.1

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: TruthValue

Access: read-write

Description: Controls the operation of the Secure Shell server task on the embedded system. When enabled, the SSH server will accept connection requests and create a secure transport layer on which to transmit system configuration data.

What is etsysSshEnabled?

This deprecated, read-write TruthValue controls whether the embedded Secure Shell server task runs on the device, and when enabled the SSH server accepts connection requests and creates a secure transport for system configuration data. An admin sets this to true to allow encrypted remote management sessions instead of relying only on unencrypted protocols like Telnet. For example, setting this to true(1) on a newly deployed switch would let administrators connect and manage it over SSH going forward.
