etsysSshCiphers
Module: ENTERASYS-SSH-SERVER-MIB
OID (symbolic): ENTERASYS-SSH-SERVER-MIB::etsysSshCiphers
OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.5624.1.2.26.1.3.1
Node type: OBJECT-TYPE
Type: INTEGER
Access: read-write
Description: Specifies the ciphers to use for encrypting the session. Current enumerated types, DES, 3DES, Blowfish, Arcfour, Twofish, and CAST128 are supported. Special values to this option are any, anystd, that allows only standard (see below) ciphers, and anycipher that allows either any available cipher or excludes non-encrypting cipher mode none but allows all others. anystdcipher is the same as above, but includes only those ciphers mentioned in the IETF-SecSH-draft (excluding 'none').
What is etsysSshCiphers?
This deprecated, read-write INTEGER selects which encryption cipher(s) the SSH server uses for the session, choosing among specific algorithms like DES, 3DES, Blowfish, Arcfour, Twofish, CAST128, and AES, or the special values anyStdCipher/anyCipher to allow broader sets. Admins tighten this to exclude weak ciphers like DES when hardening SSH access, or use anyStdCipher to stick to IETF-SecSH-draft-recommended algorithms. For example, setting this explicitly to aes(9) would force the server to use AES rather than legacy DES for all SSH sessions.
Examples
Walk all instances (SNMPv2c):
snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.5624.1.2.26.1.3.1 snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> ENTERASYS-SSH-SERVER-MIB::etsysSshCiphers
Get a specific instance (index 1):
snmpget -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.5624.1.2.26.1.3.1.1 snmpget -v2c -c public <target> ENTERASYS-SSH-SERVER-MIB::etsysSshCiphers.1
Set instance 1 (SNMPv2c):
snmpset -v2c -c private <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.5624.1.2.26.1.3.1.1 i <value>
