Description: This object indicates the current enabled status for transmitting a VT100 Device Status Request (DSR) to an attached terminal.

What is etsysRs232Vt100DsrEnableState?

This flag controls whether the device actively sends a VT100 "Device Status Request" escape sequence to a terminal connected to its RS-232 console port. An admin enables this to have the device actively probe whether a real VT100-compatible terminal is attached and responsive, useful for detecting terminal presence on the serial console. Setting this to enabled(1) would make the device send a VT100 DSR query out its console port whenever it needs to check terminal status.
