etsysRadiusAuthClientEnableEncrypt

Module: ENTERASYS-RADIUS-AUTH-CLIENT-ENCRYPT-MIB

OID (symbolic): ENTERASYS-RADIUS-AUTH-CLIENT-ENCRYPT-MIB::etsysRadiusAuthClientEnableEncrypt

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.5624.1.2.5.1.3

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: RadiusEncryptedString

Access: read-write

Description: This indicates whether or not the RADIUS Client is or is to be, enabled or disabled. This parameter value is maintained across system reboots. This object's true data type is Integer32(1), and it follows an enumeration textual convention (enable(1), disable(2)).

What is etsysRadiusAuthClientEnableEncrypt?

This object is the encrypted counterpart of the RADIUS client's enable/disable switch, an octet string that decrypts to an Integer32 enumeration of enable(1) or disable(2). It lets a management station securely turn RADIUS authentication on or off on the device via SNMPv1 sets, with the setting retained across reboots. For instance, an administrator decommissioning a switch's use of a particular RADIUS deployment could encrypt and set this object to disable(2) to stop the device from issuing authentication requests.
