Module: ENTERASYS-MAC-AUTHENTICATION-MIB

OID (symbolic): ENTERASYS-MAC-AUTHENTICATION-MIB::etsysMACAuthenticationPortReauthPeriod

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.5624.1.2.25.1.2.1.1.6

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Description: The value, in seconds, between attempts to re-authenticate any current MAC authenticated on this port.

What is etsysMACAuthenticationPortReauthPeriod?

This read-write value, in seconds and defaulting to 3600, sets how often the switch attempts to re-authenticate every currently authenticated MAC on this port. An admin shortens this interval on high-security ports to detect a revoked or expired credential faster, at the cost of more frequent authentication-server traffic. For example, setting etsysMACAuthenticationPortReauthPeriod to 600 on a sensitive port re-validates connected MACs every 10 minutes instead of every hour.
