OID (symbolic): ENTERASYS-MAC-AUTHENTICATION-MIB::etsysMACAuthenticationMACUserPassword

Description: This is the string to be used as a password credential when authenticating a MAC address.

What is etsysMACAuthenticationMACUserPassword?

This read-write string is the shared password credential the switch presents to the authentication server when authenticating a source MAC address, defaulting to "NOPASSWORD". An admin changes it to match whatever static password the backend RADIUS/authentication server expects for MAC-based logins, since the MAC address itself is sent as the username. For example, setting this to a site-specific value keeps the MAC-authentication credential consistent with what's configured on the RADIUS server's shared MAC-auth user profile.
