etsysMACAuthenticationMACReauthEnabled

Module: ENTERASYS-MAC-AUTHENTICATION-MIB

OID (symbolic): ENTERASYS-MAC-AUTHENTICATION-MIB::etsysMACAuthenticationMACReauthEnabled

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.5624.1.2.25.1.3.1.1.6

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: EnabledStatus

Access: read-only

Description: If enabled(1), then every etsysMACAuthenticationReauthPeriod the switch attempts to validate all currently authenticated MACs on this port. If disabled(2), reauthentication is not attempted.

What is etsysMACAuthenticationMACReauthEnabled?

This read-only value reports whether periodic reauthentication is active for this specific, already-authenticated MAC session, inherited from the port's etsysMACAuthenticationPortReauthEnabled setting at authentication time. An admin checks this per-session value to confirm reauthentication is actually running for a given device rather than just assuming the port-level setting applies retroactively. For example, seeing etsysMACAuthenticationMACReauthEnabled=disabled(2) on an established session explains why that device hasn't been re-validated even though the port's reauthentication setting was since turned on.
