Description: Enterasys Networks MIB defining OID identifiers for each licensable software feature on Enterasys/Extreme platforms.

Start monitoring vendor-neutral, standards-based MIB, any SNMPv3-capable network device (SNMP engine identity/boot/clock status) with a free 30-day trial of IPNetwork Monitor. Import MIBs, browse SNMP OIDs, create custom SNMP monitors, configure alerts, and monitor any SNMP-enabled network device from a single console.

What Is ENTERASYS-LICENSE-KEY-OIDS-MIB?

ENTERASYS-LICENSE-KEY-OIDS-MIB is a proprietary Enterasys Networks MIB that simply defines a set of OID identifiers, one per licensable software feature and product series (N/C/B/D/G/S-Series), intended to be referenced as the value returned by etsysLicenseKeyIdentifier in the companion ENTERASYS-LICENSE-KEY-MIB. It does not itself expose any runtime tables or scalar status objects; it is purely a registry of named OID constants. Consequently it has no direct hardware/software status monitoring role of its own, its purpose being to give the actual license-key MIB a stable, human-readable way to identify which licensed feature a given license key applies to. Its dependency is explicit and definitional: it exists solely to support ENTERASYS-LICENSE-KEY-MIB. It is used across the same range of Enterasys/Extreme Networks product series (N-Series, C-Series, B-Series, D-Series, G-Series, S-Series) wherever software licensing is enforced, and the ENTERASYS-LICENSE-KEY-OIDS-MIB download is available for reference in a MIB browser.

IPNetwork Monitor allows you to monitor SNMP objects defined in ENTERASYS-LICENSE-KEY-OIDS-MIB. Use the built-in SNMP Monitoring Browser to explore available variables, view their current values and descriptions, and select the objects you want to monitor. You can then create SNMP monitors, configure thresholds, and receive alerts when monitored values change.

Supported Devices

  • Enterasys/Extreme Networks N/C/B/D/G/S-Series switches and routers

Monitoring Examples

This module is honestly not a runtime monitoring MIB but an OID-definition registry: objects like etsysLicKeyIdNSeries, etsysLicKeyIdCSeries, and etsysLicKeyIdSSeries are constant identifiers, not polled values, and are only meaningful when referenced by etsysLicenseKeyIdentifier in ENTERASYS-LICENSE-KEY-MIB to indicate which product series a given license applies to. There is no realistic monitoring scenario to describe against this module alone since it contains no tables of live data.
