Description: The current state of the firewall is returned when this value is read. This setting is only effective when etsysFWFirewallEnabled is true. Setting the value to true causes the firewall to start inspecting packets, if etsysFWFirewallEnabled is true. Setting the value to false causes the firewall to stop inspecting packets, if etsysFWFirewallEnabled is true.
What is etsysFWFirewallOnIntfEnabled?
A read-create per-interface flag that, only when the global etsysFWFirewallEnabled is also true, enables (true) or disables (false) packet inspection on this specific interface; the MIB's own truth table shows the interface is only actually enabled when both this and the global switch are true, so an admin uses it to exempt or include individual interfaces from an otherwise firewall-enabled box.
