Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: Integer32

Access: read-write

Description: The Maximum Transmission Unit (MTU) in PPPoE protocol

What is pppoeMTU?

Sets the Maximum Transmission Unit, in bytes, used specifically for PPPoE-encapsulated traffic, defaulting to 1492 bytes -- 8 bytes less than the standard 1500-byte Ethernet MTU to leave room for the PPPoE header. Setting it too high on a PPPoE link typically causes intermittent packet loss for large packets.
