eMailSize

Module: EMAIL-MIB

OID (symbolic): EMAIL-MIB::eMailSize

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.4.51.4.1.7

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: INTEGER

Access: read-only

Description: The size, in octects, of the message.

What is eMailSize?

Reports the size, in octets, of a cached e-mail message. Admins use this to spot unusually large messages that may be straining mail system resources or triggering resourceLimitation(4) errors. An eMailSize of 15000000, about 15 MB, paired with an eMailStatus of resourceLimitation(4) would explain why that particular delivery failed.
