This read-write setting picks the DHCP Option 82 reforwarding policy for one specific port, choosing replace, drop, keep, or global (defer to the switch-wide policy), with a default of global(4). It lets an admin override Option 82 handling on individual ports instead of applying one rule to the whole switch, useful when only certain ports connect to devices that shouldn't be trusted to supply their own Option 82 data. Setting this to replace(1) on a subscriber-facing port makes the switch overwrite any Option 82 data the client tried to insert with its own trusted values.
