eltexLtcTunneledProtocolType
Module: ELTEX-L2-TUNNEL-CONFIG-MIB
OID (symbolic): ELTEX-L2-TUNNEL-CONFIG-MIB::eltexLtcTunneledProtocolType
OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.35265.37.1.2.1.1.1
Node type: OBJECT-TYPE
Type: Bits
Access: read-write
Description: Indicates tunneled protocol of the interface.
If a BIT is set, then the value of the corresponding protocol is tunneled. Specifically, if the 'stp(0)' BIT is set, then the Spanning Tree Protocol PDU is tunneled. At this moment, there are no other supported protocols.
If the bit for a given protocol is set for an interface, then the statistics for that interface and protocol will start to be monitored.
What is eltexLtcTunneledProtocolType?
A read-write bit field where each set bit indicates a protocol whose PDUs are tunneled on this interface; currently only the stp(0) bit, for Spanning Tree Protocol PDUs, is meaningfully supported, alongside a workaround(1) bit for a specific known bug. Enabling the bit for a given protocol on an interface both turns on tunneling for that protocol and starts statistics collection for that interface and protocol. An admin setting up a Layer 2 tunnel to pass customer STP traffic transparently between sites would set the stp(0) bit on the relevant interface.
