Description: The destination MAC address that replaces the original destination MAC address of tunneled frames.

What is eltexLtcTunnelMacAddress?

A read-write MAC address, defaulting to 01:00:EE:EE:00:00, that replaces the original destination MAC address of tunneled frames. This lets an admin control the destination MAC used to carry tunneled protocol PDUs, such as Spanning Tree BPDUs, across a Layer 2 tunnel so intermediate switches forward them transparently instead of processing or blocking them locally. An admin needing to tunnel STP BPDUs between two customer sites through a provider network would rely on this MAC substitution to keep intermediate switches from intercepting those frames as their own STP traffic.
