dsmonMatrixCtlInserts

Module: DSMON-MIB

OID (symbolic): DSMON-MIB::dsmonMatrixCtlInserts

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.2.1.16.26.1.6.1.1.6

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: Counter32

Access: read-only

Description: The number of times a dsmonMatrix entry has been inserted into the dsmonMatrix tables. If an entry is inserted, then deleted, and then inserted, this counter will be incremented by 2. The addition of a conversation into both the dsmonMatrixSDTable and dsmonMatrixDSTable shall be counted as two insertions (even though every addition into one table must be accompanied by an insertion into the other).

To allow for efficient implementation strategies, agents may delay updating this object for short periods of time. For example, an implementation strategy may allow internal data structures to differ from those visible via SNMP for short periods of time. This counter may reflect the internal data structures for those short periods of time. Note that the sum of the dsmonMatrixSDTable and dsmonMatrixDSTable sizes can be determined by subtracting dsmonMatrixCtlDeletes from dsmonMatrixCtlInserts.

What is dsmonMatrixCtlInserts?

Counts row insertions across both dsmonMatrixSDTable and dsmonMatrixDSTable (each new conversation counts as two insertions, one per table); used with dsmonMatrixCtlDeletes to derive combined table size.

Examples

Walk all instances (SNMPv2c):

snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> DSMON-MIB::dsmonMatrixCtlInserts

Get a specific instance (index 1):

snmpget -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.2.1.16.26.1.6.1.1.6.1
snmpget -v2c -c public <target> DSMON-MIB::dsmonMatrixCtlInserts.1
