Description:
This variable describes the variety of Zero Code Suppression used on this interface, which in turn affects a number of its characteristics. dsx3B3ZS and e3HDB3 refer to the use of specified patterns of normal bits and bipolar violations which are used to replace sequences of zero bits of a specified length.
What is dsx3LineCoding?
This object specifies the line coding scheme used on the DS3/E3 interface, such as B3ZS (Binary 3 Zero Suppression) or HDB3 (High Density Bipolar 3). Line coding substitutes patterns of bits to prevent long sequences of zeros that could confuse timing circuits. Operators configure this value to match the physical line characteristics and the equipment at both ends of the circuit.
