This object counts the total number of Unavailable Seconds (periods when the DS1/E1 digital line cannot transmit data properly) that occurred at the far end of the connection during the previous 24-hour period. An unavailable second is any one-second interval where the signal is severely degraded or lost. A network operator would check this metric to understand link quality problems affecting the remote endpoint of a T1/E1 circuit.
