tRingPortRingPhantomCurrent

Module: DOT5-LOG-MIB

OID (symbolic): DOT5-LOG-MIB::tRingPortRingPhantomCurrent

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.52.4.1.2.1.1.3.3.1.1.7

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: INTEGER

Access: read-write

Description: When written with the value activatePhantom, this object activates the board's phantom current for the ring port, if applicable. This may be different from the HW switch setting. When written with the value deactivatePhantom, the board removes phantom current for this port, if applicable. This may be different from the HW switch setting. If the port does not support phantom drive, any write to this object will return a BADSETINFO error. When read, this object reports the state of the ring port's phantom drive status, whether enabled, disabled, or not supported.

What is tRingPortRingPhantomCurrent?

Writing activatePhantom(2) or deactivatePhantom(3) turns this ring port's phantom current on or off in software, overriding the board's hardware switch setting where supported; writing to a port without phantom-drive support returns BADSETINFO. Reading it reports the port's current phantom-drive state (enabled, disabled, or noPhantomAvailable(1) if unsupported).
