tRingMgmtBcnRecStnPortRetryCount

Module: DOT5-LOG-MIB

OID (symbolic): DOT5-LOG-MIB::tRingMgmtBcnRecStnPortRetryCount

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.52.4.1.2.1.1.1.1.1.16

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: INTEGER

Access: read-write

Description: This object defines the number of times a token ring station port will be re-enabled after it has been determined that the port is causing the ring to beacon. Values other than 0-100 and 999 will result in MIB bad value. Default of object is product dependent. Refer to individual product documentation.

Valid integer values are defined as: 0 ...disable station port retries 1 - 100 ...retry station port n times 999 ... retry station port infinite times

What is tRingMgmtBcnRecStnPortRetryCount?

This sets how many times a station (lobe) port will be automatically re-enabled after being identified as causing ring beaconing, before the device stops retrying it: 0 disables retries, 1-100 sets a finite count, and 999 retries indefinitely. It's the station-port equivalent of tRingMgmtBcnRecRingPortRetryCount.
