Description: This attribute represents the maximum number of IPv6 prefixes or addresses allowed for the CM's CPEs if not signaled in the registration process. All IPv6 addresses, including Link-Local and any address with a scope greater than 1 are counted against the docsSubmgt3BaseCpeMaxIpv6AddressesDef.

What is docsSubmgt3BaseCpeMaxIpv6AddressesDef?

This deprecated fallback value defines the default maximum number of IPv6 addresses or prefixes (including Link-Local) a CM's CPEs may use when the registration process doesn't signal an explicit limit. It has been superseded by the split IPv6 address/prefix defaults but may still appear as a legacy 0-1023 setting (default 16) on older CMTS configurations.
