Module: DOCS-SEC-MIB

OID (symbolic): DOCS-SEC-MIB::docsSecCmtsServerCfgTftpOptions

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.4491.2.1.11.1.1.1

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: Bits

Access: read-write

Description: This attribute instructs the CMTS to insert the source IP address and/or MAC address of received TFTP packets into the TFTP option fields before forwarding the packets to the Config File server. This attribute is only applicable when the TftpProxyEnabled attribute of the MdCfg object is 'true'.

What is docsSecCmtsServerCfgTftpOptions?

Controls whether the CMTS inserts the source IP address and/or MAC address of a cable modem's TFTP config-file request into the TFTP option fields before forwarding it to the config file server, letting the server key its response to that specific modem. This only applies when the TftpProxyEnabled attribute of the MdCfg object is set to true. For example, setting both bits ensures the config server sees the modem's real IP and MAC even though the CMTS proxied the request.
