Description:
This attribute denotes the number of failed Upstream Channel Change transactions. Discontinuities in the value of this counter can occur at re-initialization of the managed system, and at other times as indicated by the value of ifCounterDiscontinuityTime for the CM MAC Domain interface.
What is docsIf3CmStatusUCCFails?
This counter counts the number of failed Upstream Channel Change (UCC) transactions on a cable modem, where a UCC is the process of switching the modem to transmit on a different upstream frequency channel. Channel changes may fail due to signal quality issues or hardware problems. Operators monitor this to detect modems with upstream channel stability problems, which could indicate poor plant conditions or defective modems requiring service.
