docsSubMgtCpeLearnableDefault

Module: DOCS-IETF-SUBMGT-MIB

OID (symbolic): DOCS-IETF-SUBMGT-MIB::docsSubMgtCpeLearnableDefault

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.2.1.125.1.4

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: TruthValue

Access: read-write

Description: The default value for docsSubMgtCpeControlLearnable if not signaled in the DOCSIS Registration request. This value should be treated as nonvolatile; if set, its value should persist across device resets.

What is docsSubMgtCpeLearnableDefault?

This read-write boolean sets the default value applied to docsSubMgtCpeControlLearnable when DOCSIS registration doesn't explicitly signal a value, and it persists across device resets. Operators use this to decide whether newly registering modems default to allowing the CMTS to learn CPE IP addresses dynamically. For example, the DEFVAL of true means modems that don't specify a learnability setting will have CPE address learning enabled by default.

Examples

Walk all instances (SNMPv2c):

snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> DOCS-IETF-SUBMGT-MIB::docsSubMgtCpeLearnableDefault

Get a specific instance (index 1):

snmpget -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.2.1.125.1.4.1
snmpget -v2c -c public <target> DOCS-IETF-SUBMGT-MIB::docsSubMgtCpeLearnableDefault.1

Set instance 1 (SNMPv2c):

snmpset -v2c -c private <target> 1.3.6.1.2.1.125.1.4.1 s <value>

SNMPv3 example:

snmpget -v3 -l authPriv -u snmpv3-user -a SHA -A "AuthPassword1" -x AES -X "PrivPassword1" <target> docsSubMgtCpeLearnableDefault.1
